Manufacturer Programme
A brand's whole channel, every shipment
For manufacturers without a licensed Nigerian company, whose phones reach Nigeria through several distributors. Apple first, through our partner Telgenix; brands such as Google, OnePlus and Nothing through their importers; HP for laptops with a SIM module.
What you get
- One master agreement with the brand; every distributor's shipment processed under it.
- Your IMEI list reaches us at ship time, before the distributor has it.
- Upload under our licence, the Commission's fee paid, certificate to the clearing agent within 24 hours — before the container lands.
- Monthly reconciliation of registered numbers against the network, and reporting by distributor.
- New models checked against the Type Approval register before they ship.
What it costs
$0.75 per IMEI number for high-end phones, $0.35 for standard, plus a programme fee of $3,000 a month and $150 per shipment certificate — on top of the Commission's fee of ₦670 or ₦3,700 per IMEI number (about $0.51 / $2.80). Before value-added tax; quoted in dollars, invoiced in naira at a named rate.
Example, our estimate: 10,000 iPhones a month is 240,000 IMEI numbers a year. The programme costs the brand about $223,000 a year, against $672,000 passing through to the Commission — under one per cent of a phone's retail value.
Type Approval for Apple products is handled exclusively by Telgenix Global Services Ltd; registration is delivered by TechTanks × Telgenix.
